Closing door prank clips on Ghibliia

A corgi skidding through just in time and a bearded runner landing on his knees.

The samples start from an AI-made corgi and an original portrait of an adult, not customers or celebrities. The corgi makes it was cut from a 10-second vertical clip made with Seedance 2.0 Fast on November 3, 2026, which opened with the corgi at the far end of the hallway. Through on his knees comes from another Seedance 2.0 Fast clip from the same day. In neither one does the door touch the runner.

About 9 seconds of each clip were kept for this page, gently reframed, colour graded and speed-adjusted, with the ghibliia.com mark at the top left. Nothing was mirrored. The music is original. Home Hallway and Garden Door are image only: the corgi's photo moved into two places with image-to-image AI, the same thing you can do on Image. No credits were spent on these samples. The corgi makes it

A red and white corgi races down a sunny hallway toward the camera while a hand swings the white door shut; it squeezes through the gap, skids across the floor and sits up in front of the camera, tongue out.

Through on his knees

A bearded guy in a white tee and grey joggers runs down a warm-lit hallway, reaches the door in a panic, ducks through the gap and lands on his knees on the camera side, mouth open, then grinning.

One photo to a closing door prank video

Upload the runner, pick Home Hallway or Garden Door, press Generate video.

  1. 1

    The photo

The runner from head to knees or full body, facing the camera, sharp and well lit. They start small at the far end of the hallway, so a clear face matters. For a dog or cat, show the whole animal.

    • One adult or one pet in the photo
    • You, a partner or friend who agreed, or your own pet
    • Never a child, a stranger or a celebrity
  2. 2

    Pick a scene

Above the photo box, choose Home Hallway, the white-door hallway from the trend, or Garden Door, a wooden gate among flowers at dusk. In both, the door closes behind the runner and touches nobody.

  3. 3

    Create and download

Press Generate video. The model, length and credit cost show on the button first. When it finishes, download the MP4. For a different house or chase, write your own script on Video.

The closing door prank, beat by beat

Countdown, sprint, the door swings, the runner slips through.

In the trend, whoever holds the door counts "1, 2, 3, go!". Here's The corgi makes it sample, about 9.5 seconds long:

01

The countdown

0–1 s: a hand holds the edge of the white door and the corgi appears at the far end of the hallway, by the window.

02

The sprint

1–5.5 s: the corgi runs at the camera across the wooden floor, getting bigger, while the door starts to swing.

03

The gap

5.5–7 s: with the door nearly shut, the corgi pokes its head through, squeezes past and skids along the floor. 7.5–9.5 s: it sits up in front of the camera, tongue out. The door never touches it.

A closing door prank with no bumps

Nobody gets hit in the clip; if you film it, use a light door, leave a gap and keep kids out.

No slams

In the clip the door never touches the runner: they get through the gap and the joke is the panicked face. If you film it at home, use a light door, always leave a gap, close it slowly and leave out kids and nervous pets.

The sound

The clip comes with original music. In TikTok or Reels you can add a trending sound or your own countdown; for a beat of your own, make one on Music. More ideas in all video effects.

Closing door prank questions

What is the closing door prank?

Someone counts "1, 2, 3, go!" by a door and swings it shut at the last second while the runner sprints down the hallway and just makes it through.

Does the door hit anyone?

No. The runner gets through the gap or the door is faked; the panic on their face is the whole joke.

Will it work with my dog?

Yes. A dog charging the door and skidding through is the easiest version, like the corgi sample.

What kind of photo works best?

The runner from head to knees or full body, face clear and well lit; for a pet, the whole animal.

Can I use a photo of a child?

No. Use your own photo, an adult who agreed, or your pet.
